The world needs rebels

In my previous blog I talked about the importance of originality for true authority and leadership. Being in alignment with the source, the origin. Tapping into this originality isn’t always easy, first and foremost because we miss the signs of originality through the constant interruption of our brain, our thinking. Secondly, because the ideas and inspiration that pop up do not always correspond or align with the rules and structures of society. This sometimes prevents us from implementing these ideas, or making them a daily reality, because we fear the reactions of others and society.

But the world needs you and your rebellious self in order to progress as humanity, society and organisation. Imagine what would have happened if Columbus had not challenged the idea that the world was flat, or at least the limiting beliefs about the known world. We would still be looking at the ocean with fear and prejudice. Or take Buddha, who could have had all the wealth imaginable. Born a prince, he renounced this life, left the palace, and stepped into the unknown. He chose a life in service of mankind and left a great legacy.

We are living in a world, ruled by fear at the moment. A world made flat again by political , societal and economic structures. What we need now is a group of fearless rebels. I do not mean that you should pick up your arms and start a revolution, but people who take courageous decisions and make bald choices because it feels like the right thing to do.

A good way to measure whether a decision or action is right is to observe the body’s reaction. Project yourself into any desired future situation and see how your body reacts. When relief, joy or peace is felt, you know you are on the right track. Maybe your mind cannot completely understand why you need to take this decision, but deep down you know it leads to a better place for growth and development. The mind may try to trick you away with the ‘yes but’s’ so you have to be careful!

Dear rebellious colleagues, the world needs rebels who travel the oceans and show others nothing will happen when you sail past the horizon. It will pave the way for more humans to overcome feelings of fear, resistance and stagnation. By tapping into your origin or source and following your own path, no matter the opinions of others, you are not just a rebel; you lead with authority.
